Gordon Home

Gordon Cochrane Home (25 July 1878 – 13 Dec 1969) was an English landscape artist, writer and illustrator.

Home was born in London[1]. He worked as an art editor at «The Tatler», «The King» and later at the publishers A & C Black[2]. He served as a Major in the Royal Army Service Corps[3] from 1914-1920 in France and North Africa, and later travelled widely in North Africa, the British Empire[4] and the Commonwealth[5].

Home worked mainly in watercolour and pen and ink[6] and frequently exhibited at the Royal Academy[7]. He wrote and illustrated many travel and history books for A & C Black[8], J M Dent and other publishers.
